 GUIDLELINES

Strict Hand Hygiene is to be adhered to at ALL TIMES.

STRCITLY ONLY 1 VISITOR per residents PER DAY.

Visits are to be of a SHORT DURATION time no more than 1/2 hour.

Please report to the nurse’s station on arrival and sign the visitor’s book on entry and when leaving.

Visits are to occur in the resident’s rooms and NOT in communal areas.

Proceed straight to the resident’s room and avoid all contact with other residents and staff.

Visitors should practise social distancing practices of 1.5 metres.

We understand the disruption and frustration of the restrictions and thank you for your cooperation in following our visitor’s guidelines, which we have put in place to prevent COVID -19.  Our residents are vulnerable and these measures have been put in place to protect their health and wellbeing.

Glenarm is a 30 bed residential facility co-located alongside the acute hospital in Burgoyne Street, Kerang. The home is also linked to the Allied Health building which houses allied health services, a pathology service, an oncology service and visiting GP's and specialists.

The current home was opened in April 2016 and comprises 30 single rooms with ensuites, individually controlled air-conditioning, large flat screen television and a private telephone.

The common areas of the home include a large kitchen/dining area, large lounge area, four separate sitting areas, a family room for visiting families and two large landscaped gardens with secure fencing and a hairdressing room.

Activities for residents are organised by a full-time Activity Co-ordinator and a Hairdresser visits the home every week.

Glenarm Accommodation Prices:

Refundable Accommodation Deposit -  $550,000

Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) - $83.47

Example of an accommodation payment:

Joe's fee advice states that he can be asked to pay the basic daily care fee of $51.63 a day and a daily accommodation contribution of $40.00.  The accommodation contribution can be paid as a lump sum, as a daily payment or a combination of lump sum and daily payment.

If Joe chose to pay part of his accommodation contribution in lump sum, the minimum amount of net assets that Joe must be left with after paying a lump sum amount is $49,500.  Based on Joes' fee advice, Joe has a net asset total of $100,000 so the maximum lump sum payment that he can make is $50,500.

If Joe chooses to make a lump sum payment of $50,500, the new daily accommodation payment would then be calculated as:

$40.00 less ($50,500 x 5.54% / 365 days = $7.66)  = $32.34 per day for the daily accommodation payment.

A lump sum payment of $50,500 would reduce Joe's daily accommodation payment to $32.34

Note: 5.54% is the maximum permissible interest rate as at September 20179
